Thursday 19th July:
No 9am Mass
10am St Bede's School - End of Term Mass
Friday 20th July:
No 9am Mass
9.30am St Bernadette School - End of Term Mass (School Hall)

Fr Przemyslaw Zgorecki: Today Fr Przemek is preaching at every Mass in order to say goodbye to everyone before people start drifting away for school holidays.  He will leave us very early on the morning of Monday 30th July and will spend August supplying in the Arezzo Diocese in Italy.  Then in September, he returns to Poland to assist in the parish of The Nativity of the Lord in Poznan.  Pray that he can finish his PhD (most of it is done) without further torture!
On behalf of you all, I would like to thank my dear Brother for throwing himself so generously into our parish and schools.  The Sacristy has been revolutionised and my library (which included a good number of fr Dinan’s old books) has been happily culled.  The pilgrimages to Lourdes and Chartres were both memorable.  His work in St Bernadette School is much appreciated.  His preaching has been good and he has bravely done both Deacon and Sub Deacon at the Solemn Mass.  His linguistic skills have certainly come in handy and the Latin American community will miss him a lot.  As for myself, I shall be ever indebted to him for his loyal and fraternal kindness and support.  God bless.  fr Christopher.

School Holidays: On Friday our schools will close for the summer (The Laurels finished last Friday).  Once school breaks up the whole character of the neighbourhood changes.  There is a remarkable decrease in traffic and people.  Many of you will go on holiday.  Please remember to be faithful to Sunday Mass wherever you may go.  Bring us back a newsletter from the church you visit.  As Mgr Hallett used to tell the students at Wonersh before they went off for the summer, “Have a good holiday but remember there is no holiday from the spiritual life!”
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Ewa Ostrynska, Mrs Deborah Hogan, Mrs Linda Sanders and Mr Dominic Malins and the staff at all four schools to have a restful and enjoyable break.

Welcome back to Fr Andrew Southwell & Fr Gabriel Diaz who got back on Tuesday.

Welcome to David Hunter: originally from Ashford (fr CB’s first parish). He is now at Wonersh Seminary preparing for the priesthood.  Last week he received the ministry of Acolyte (Sub Deacon) from His Grace Archbishop Peter Smith.

Special Sunday – Today 11am: The music for this Mass will be: Ordinary - Missa Quarti toni (Victoria); Offertory – O quam metuendus (Victoria); Communion – O sacrum convivium (Byrd); Music provided by Cantores Missæ under the direction of Charles Finch and this Mass has been kindly funded by the LMS.

Fr Lukasz Haduch: Please remember Fr Lukasz in your prayers. He has broken both shoulder and hip in the car accident and has had an operation on the latter.  If anybody wants to send him a card, you can send care of St Teresa’s, 4 Maidstone Road, Ashford, TN24 8TX

Latin Mass Intentions: We currently have nearly 100 Traditional Latin Masses which are waiting to be said.  Therefore we would like to send some of these to France to be said (Old Rite).  If you have not specifically asked for a date/time or have submitted multiple Masses for the same intention, we will be sending a selection of Masses off to them soon so that your intentions are said ASAP and not waiting until 2019.

Do you have any photos of the Corpus Christi Procession? Please send them to our email address .  Thank you.

St John's Seminary - Wonersh:  The Seminary, near Guildford, Surrey (which has been involved in the formation of priests for England and Wales for over 125 years) is looking for some help with the cost of redecoration and refurbishment of 30 of its bedrooms, which have received little or no upgrading for 40+ years.
Many rooms have threadbare carpets and curtains which are close to disintegration.  Some of the beds, mattresses and other furniture began their life in the Junior Seminary at Mark Cross, Sussex - which closed in 1970.
The Seminary operates on a very tight budget, and there are no funds available for this much-needed work, which would cost in the region of £2,000 per room.  If you can help in any way, please send a cheque made payable to St John's Seminary to: Mgr Gerry Ewing (Vice-Rector), St John's Seminary, Wonersh, Guildford, Surrey, GU5 0QX
