Volunteers needed to take over from Ann Holder: For many years, Ann has taken charge of many different jobs within the parish including producing the reader’s rota on a quarterly basis and administration of the APF Missio Box Scheme.  However, as she is now Lay Chaplain at Brixton Prison, she is having to give up these tasks so we need a volunteer(s) to take over.  Please speak to Fr CB today if you can help us. 

Welcome back to Fr Gabriel Diaz: who is back from visiting his parents and family in Argentina.  It was nice this past week to see Fr Simon Leworthy visiting from Yorkshire.

Altar Servers 41st Annual Rally: Monday 7th May at Aylesford Priory in Kent.  All Servers, families, and friends welcome.

Last chance to get your name down for the Mass in Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage: If you are celebrating your 1st /10th/ 25th/ 40th/ 50th/ 60th + wedding anniversary this year, please give your names as soon as possible. Please use the form provided at the back of Church and write very clearly so you can receive an invitation from the Archbishop to the Mass in June.

St Mary Soledad Group: Next Saturday 2-4pm at the convent.  Open to all 10 to 18-year-olds.  
Prayer Group for Vocations: Next Saturday at 5pm in the Convent Chapel.  There will be Rosary and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

The Laurels Spring Fete: (126 Atkins Rd) Saturday 19th May 12-3pm.  There will be raffles, tombola, games, face printing & international food (always a very popular area!!), tea, coffee, cakes & smoothies and drama performances.  Entry is £2 for adults, children and seniors are free.  See the poster for more information.  Everyone welcome!!!  Raffle tickets are also available - £1 each.  See one of the priests or the parish secretary.

Alcohol Addiction? If you have problems in this department and could use someone to talk to, there is a Catholic man in the area who is a cured alcoholic who helps people who are struggling with this.  See Fr CB.

St Philomena's 125th Year Celebration Ball: Please join us to celebrate the 125th anniversary of St Philomena's Catholic High School for Girls founded in 1893 by The Daughters of the Cross.  This will be a celebration evening of dining and dancing for parents, staff, Governors, past students and friends of St Philomena's School.  Saturday 7th July 6.30pm to 11pm.  Dress code will be formal.  See poster for more details.
