29th Sunday (Old Rite: XX Sunday after Pentecost)

Changes to Masses this week:  
Thursday 26th - No 8pm Mass

Bazaar - Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd December: 
  • Draw Tickets have arrived – have arrived and will be available from next weekend.  
  • Donations of Good quality items please - fancy goods; religious articles; drinks for the Bottle stall & raffle prizes; homemade crafts, jams & chutneys. (Empty jam jars – clean & with lids - and sugar will also be gratefully accepted!!)
  • Please do not bring in electrical items, videos, books or clothes.  (If you have any clothes to donate – see ‘Mary’s Meals Appeal’ in below.
  • Friday night - Bazaar & Bistro Last year we trailed the bazaar on the Friday night only and it worked so we will do the same this year. 
  • Saturday night - Christmas Dinner As normal we will have our annual Christmas Dinner on the Saturday evening in the club.  
  • Volunteers wanted: If you would like to help with the Bazaar, please speak to Harman Ross. 
  • Latin American: As soon as we have details of planned events we will let you know!!
Fr Christopher: is in Jordan back, God willing, next Friday.

Special Sunday - 11am Mass: Music provided by Cantores Missae under the direction of Mr Charles Finch.  Today's music will be: Ordinary: Missa Quarti toni (Tomas Luis de Victoria); Offertory: Ave maris stella (Hans Leo Hassler); Communion: Venite comedite (William Byrd) and After Last Gospel: Salve Regina (Franz Schubert)

2nd Collection today is for Missio: which was formerly the Association for the Propagation of the Faith (APF). It is the Church’s official organ for the support of the Foreign Missions.  The collection taken today, World Mission Sunday, goes in its entirety, to support Churches, hospitals, schools and vocations in countries where the church is new, young or poor.  Missio works through local Bishops, churches, and missionary congregations to ensure that resources are distributed equitably and justly on the basis of need.

Do you have a red 'Mill Hill' box in your home? If so, please bring it with you and hand to one of the priests at a weekend Mass.  In order to meet the year-end account deadline we would appreciate if you could do so no later than 19th November.  Thank you. 

Altar Servers Day: Thursday 26th October 11am to 3.30pm in the club.  Please hand back your slip to Fr Przemek by next Sunday.  

Appeal by Mary's Meals – Sunday 29th October: With only 1 week to go before Mary’s Meals will be at our church on the morning of Sunday 29th please remember to bring along all your unwanted clothing/bedding (no duvets or pillows please). Put all clothing/bedding into tied black sacks & bring them with you when you come to church (the van must leave at 11am).   Mary’s Meals is a no-frills charity committed to spending 93p in every £1 received on its charitable activities (6p spent on Fundraising & 1p on Governance).

Tracy Lawler RIP: Tracy, who was part of our Latin Mass Community before moving up north, sadly passed away on Friday 13th.  Her Requiem will be held at St Michael and St John’s Church in Clitheroe at 12noon on Monday 30th October.  For those who are unable to attend, the 10am on that day will be our Requiem.

Marcia Williams RIP: Her Requiem will be held at St John Fisher in Merton (207 Cannon Hill Lane, SW20 9DB) on Friday 3rd Nov 12noon.

Our Prayers have been answered: The appeal for Fr Romany Fathy’s visa refusal has been successful and he should now be able to reapply and get his visa very soon.  Thank you for all your prayers.

Youth Club: on Sunday 5th November after the 6pm Mass we will re-start the Youth Club.  The Youth Club is for anyone aged 10 to 15 years old and Fr Przemek will take over from where Fr Pawel left off!

Part Time Gardener Assistant/Caretaker/Minibus Driver (The Laurels): The school is looking to recruit a person who is happy to carry out gardening duties, some caretaking duties and occasional mini-bus driving duties to cover the Clapham, Balham and Central London areas on a split shift basis covering AM& PM school runs.
