Third Sunday (Old Rite: III Sunday after Epiphany)

Sacramental Programmes: This last week saw the actual beginning of the weekly classes to prepare for First Confession and First Communion.  We now will start distributing Confirmation applications  Bishop Patrick Lynch is coming here on Sunday 2nd July for our English and Spanish communities and our Latin Mass community have their Confirmation at St James’ Spanish Place (West End) in November.  Sadly we have no adult converts this year to be received / baptised at Easter (last year, the Guri family were baptised at the Easter Vigil and they emigrated to Florida in June).  Baptismal and Marriage preparation is usually done on an one-to-one basis in addition to Mr Greg Clovis and Mrs Veronica Pierson helping us over the years with engaged couples.  Since Tom Lynch was ordained and Carol Cardenas was professed, we have not had any more vocations from our parish community.  Please pray for our parish to bear fruit!

Fr Lukasz is in Poland until early February.

Now Available - Confirmation Application forms for 2017 Programme: If you are in Year 8 or above of Secondary school, please collect a purple application form from Fr Chris this weekend.  Bishop Patrick Lynch will come here for Confirmation on Sunday 2nd July.

Tony Frost RIP: His Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday 9th February at 11am.  On this day we will cancel the 9am Mass, Adoration & Benediction.

Notice to Readers at the 6pm Masses (Saturdays & Sundays): There has been a change made to the current rota with immediate effect.  Please pick up a new rota today.

St Bede's Youth Club: Sundays after 6pm Mass.  Open to all 10 years and older.

Open Day Fair: St Francis Xavier 6th Form College: On Wednesday 1st February from 4pm to 6pm.  This is another opportunity for prospective students who are looking to continue their studies into the sixth form (Year 12) in September 2017 to come and visit the college (with a parent) to meet staff and students; hear the Principal speak and of course, pick up a prospectus!  You can even start an application online.

Outstanding Masses from 2016: There are still over 100 Masses still unbooked from last year and we are trying to fit these in as soon as we possibly can whilst still trying to accommodate current requests for anniversaries and those who are really ill.  Therefore we ask for your patience and understanding, and bear with us until at least the end of March. We will look at the Masses we currently have outstanding, and identify those which can be sent out to other priests who need Masses (as per Diocesan policy) or to be said by our priests whilst they are away.

Cleaners for this week: Tricia & Emma Johnson & Regina Curaj
