Bishop Inducts New Head today at 12.30 Mass: Bishop Patrick Lynch is formally inducting Mr Dominic Malins as the new Head of La Retraite School. He hails from Epsom where he was educated at the Glyn School and later at Royal Holloway & Oxford. He worked in Ghana and the Salesian College in Battersea for 14 years. He has been at La Retraite since 2009 and is only the second man to ever to hold the Headship since 1880. He is married with three children and is a member of St Joseph’s Church in Epsom. We welcome Fr. Liam Gallagher our Dean from English Martyrs. We also welcome the Deputy Mayor of Lambeth, Cathy Twist from Lambeth Education Authority,  Stephen Bryan from the Diocesan Schools Commission and Mrs Bernadette Boyle, the newly appointed Head of Bishop Thomas Grant School¬¬ and later Canon William Daverne of Epsom. We welcome the staff, students, parents and Governors. Congratulations!



Mgr Leo's Diamond Jubilee of Ordination: On Sunday 17th July at the 9.30am. Next week we will ask for volunteers for food.

St Bede's Visit to Holy Door: at St George's Cathedral on Saturday 9th (this week!).  We meet at St Bede's at 10am and go by bus to the Cathedral where we will be greeted at 11am.  We will visit the Holy Door, have time for adoration and confession and then at 12noon we will have Mass.  The Amigo Hall will be open for refreshments and if you wish you can bring a packed lunch with you (or why not head off to the Little Sisters of the Poor at Vauxhall for their garden fete - on until 3.30pm!!!)

Little Sisters of the Poor - Garden Fete: Next Saturday (9th) 12pm - 3.30pm. The fete is always a joyous family occasion & ‘fun is had by all’!  

Krakow Meeting for World Youth Day: Fr Stephen Boyle & Fr Pawel will have a meeting in the club on Sunday 10th July 1pm. This is to discuss everything you need to know for 25th!


Welcome to Fr Lukasz Nycz: who comes from the same Diocese as Fr Lukasz H & Fr Pawel. With us until August 20th.

Fr Lukasz Haduch: will be away from tomorrow to 26th July.


Confirmation Reunion Mass & launch of a possible youth club: Next Sunday 10th July at the 6pm Mass, this year’s Confirmation candidates will receive their certificates at the end of Mass. Afterward Mass we will discuss the launch the St Bede’s Youth Club which we hope start in September only if some of you will offer to help.

Yr 6 Leavers Invite to launch possible Youth group: On Sunday 17th July we invite our school leavers and their parents to the 6pm Mass and a presentation afterwards in the club.

Gift Aid forms still not returned: If you signed up to the Gift Aid scheme a little while ago and took a form home - please ensure it is returned as soon as possible - we are unable to claim the tax back without them! You can either contact Marie Chang or leave with one of the priests.
