5th Sunday of Easter (Old Rite: IV Sunday after Easter)

For this week's Masses - Click Here
Solemn Easter Vespers: 5pm Sundays until 15 May

The Gospel of Jesus: is one of the most beautiful and sublime sets of concepts ever written. As a wriggly and distracted child, my Mother told me that the Gospel at Mass would always hit you “right where you are at”. The Word of God is not just another piece of ancient writing; it is the person of Jesus Christ, Our Lord attempting to touch our hearts and minds. Mother of the Word of God, obtain for us the Grace to open our ears and hearts to this saving power. Fr Chris

Fr Pawel: is in Poland this week visiting family - back next Saturday.

Volunteer Mentors Needed: One of the ways our Holy Father, Pope Francis is urging us as Catholics in the Year of Mercy to manifest mercy practically is through practising the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. The corporal works include visiting the imprisoned, and the spiritual works include converting sinners and comforting the sorrowful.  Isis Prison in Thamesmead is urgently looking for volunteer mentors to help young imprisoned men returning to the Catholic faith to set spiritual and practical goals for their lives and prepare them for their release.  No experience is required, just a passion for Christ and His teachings.   If you would like more information please contact Feltham Community Chaplaincy Trust who are running this mentoring programme on 020 8445 5585 or CCFeltham@hmps.gsi.gov.uk or see Philip Jones after Mass.
