Goodbye to Revd Mother Rosa: Mother Rosa Puerta (who was born in Granada in Andalusia) has been Superior of the Sisters since 2007. As nine consecutive years is the maximum time, her term has come to an end. We will miss her very much and thank her for her kindness and openness to all. On Wednesday 13th she will return to Spain and will be assigned to the community in Alcalá de Henares succeeding her is Mother Isabel Sainza who was for some time Superior here before 2007 having taken over from Mother Lourdes Susaeta who helped establish the community here in 1998 after closing 2 houses in Poole, Dorset and Holland Park. She then went to begin the foundation in the Philippines!

Special Sunday - 11am Mass next week: Ordinary: ‘Missa Quarti toni’ (Victoria); Offertory: ‘Jubilate Deo’ (Lassus); Communion: ‘Ego sum panis vivus’ (Esquivel) & after Gospel: ‘Regina caeli’ (Lobo); Sung by Cantores Missae under the direction of Mr Charles Finch and kindly sponsored by LMS. The next ‘Special Sunday’ will be 15th May (Whitsun) 

Welcome back Fr Simon Leworthy: From 2012 to 2015 Fr Simon was at St Bede’s. Now he is in the place of his birth (Yorkshire) and is here for a post Easter break.  He parents are still doing well (over 60 years married) in New South Wales, Australia. Fr Simon is now at Our Lady and St Peter’s in Bridlington.

Fr Lukasz: God willing, will be back on Saturday.

We apologise: for the long wait some of your Mass intentions are taking – some of the Masses are so oversubscribed at present (i.e. 9.30/11) that the intentions exceed the Masses – but we will get there eventually and thank you for your patience.
