Bazaar - Friday 27th & Saturday 28th November: THIS WEEK!
Please bring in: Good-as-new toys, DVDs, fancy goods, Religious articles, your handmade goods and jams by Wednesday please!
Bottle Stall: Please bring in bottles of wine, spirits & soft drinks. This wonderful stall is always popular and helps the atmosphere and the takings of the Bazaar as a whole. 
Bistro - Friday night: The menus for the Bistro are available at the back of Church. Please take one home & bring it back by Wed 25th in a sealed envelope with the money.
Bazaar Dinner - Saturday night: If you would like to book your place for the Dinner on the Saturday evening, please see Fr Christopher – £25 per person.  
Draw Tickets: are available, please don’t forget to return the counterfoils & money – in a sealed envelope ASAP! Any unsold tickets should also be returned so that we can sell these over the weekend.    
'Heavies' Needed for Thursday/Friday/Saturday & Sunday: We need strong men for the following days and times this week to help with the setting up tables etc: 
  • Thursday 7.30pm; 
  • Friday 4pm; 
  • Saturday 4pm 
  • Sunday 10.30am.
Last year we were almost crippled by the work on the Friday afternoon so we appeal to as many of you as possible to come and help. 
Cakes: Please sign the cake list and make a cake(s) for the Friday and/or Saturday. This is another of our most popular stalls.
Don't forget to bring your carrier bags too! Due to these becoming precious now, we don’t have a supply as in previous years – so we kindly ask that you bring your own along on the day!    

Advent Preachers: This year’s preachers will be:

  3. Fr Matthew O’Gorman (newly ordained). 
  4. Dr Andrew Pinsett, Oxford. 
  5. (Christmas) Fr Andrew Southwell. 

Does your APF Red Box Need Emptying? The end of the accounting year for the APF scheme is 31st December so you have a red box which is full or hasn’t been emptied in a while; please bring it to the Church no later than 6th December. We will empty them and return as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who has an APF box in their home.  

Readers for Sunday 6pm Mass: We need two more readers for the Sunday evening Mass (the new rota will be available from end of December). Please write your contact details down clearly and leave at the Presbytery.

Physics & Theology Brain-Teaser: Holy Ghost Parish - Balham, in partnership with St Mary’s University - Twickenham is hosting a presentation and discussion with 5 academics from St Mary’s on how physics and theology interact. The event will take place at Holy Ghost School - Nightingale Square - Balham SW12 8QJ on Monday 30th - 7.30-10pm. Admission is free, but places are limited, so please book your place with Holy Ghost ( 020 8355 0211. There is a poster with further details on the Church Notice board.

St Bede's Social Club: is open on Sundays 12pm to 3pm and Fridays 8.30pm to 11pm.  Games are available - please ask bar staff.

Union of Catholic Mothers: meet every Thursday during term-time.  8pm Mass followed by meeting in the social club. 

'Pray, Play & Tumble': meet on Tuesday mornings 10.15am to 12noon.  Beginning in church for action praise songs, a bible story, quiet time and short prayers.   The social rooms are open for conveniences and pram parking from 9.30am - 9.55am and then afterwards for play and refreshments.  Optional session in the school soft ball room too for those who wish.  Do join us.  Contact email for further details:
