October - Month of the Holy Rosary: Today, and every Sunday in October we have Devotions, Sermon & Benediction at 5pm. The rosary is also usually recited after every 9am weekday Mass. Fly the flag by hanging your Rosary in your car, but better still pray it everyday especially for the synod and world peace.

Bazaar - Friday 27th & Saturday 28th November: Don’t forget to put the date in your diaries! Each year we set ourselves the challenge to raise as much as we can towards our annual payment to the Diocese, and we need YOUR help & support to get there! You can now bring in your donations of GOOD QUALITY items - fancy goods; jewellery; cake making ingredients (flour, sugar, mixed fruit etc), empty jam jars; religious articles; DVDs; drinks for the bottle stall – wine/spirits and those unwanted 2 for 1 offers; homemade crafts, jams & chutneys. It is time consuming and disheartening for the ladies to have to sort through & bin the rubbish – so only donations of items which you would buy yourself – no junk please! Easyfundraising - the Online Portal for shopping: Fundraising in today’s world is becoming increasingly difficult. We at St Bede’s have done so well over the years; however we are constantly seeking new angles. We have now registered at easyfundraising.org.uk which is an online portal with over 2500 retailers many whom you probably already use when online shopping. You can find us at www.easyfundraising.org.uk/stbedesc - all you need to do is register, and then every time you shop online – go onto website, select your chosen retailer and the portal will direct you to the shop of your choice! By doing this, the church will receive a small percentage of your shopping bill (varies by retailer) and at no extra cost to you!!! It’s not only shops either - you can also book holidays, insure cars/property too – why not have a browse! The portal can be used all year around – not just for Christmas.
Estate Agent Boards: Do you own your own home? Rhoslyn Thomas of SPUC is organising a group of 25 young people (age 18-35) to attend the Parish March for Life from the 22nd to the 24th of January 2016. A coach will leave London during the day on the Friday the 22nd of January and return late Sunday night. The price will be approximately £150 for two nights, including travel to and from Paris. First Communion 2016: We will be closing the application process soon, so please bring back your yellow application form ASAP. If you haven’t already picked up your book – please collect ASAP – they cost £10 each. You need to begin to go through the text ASAP as there is a lot of material to get through so start now and try to do a little bit every night.
Confirmation 2016: Bishop Patrick Lynch has asked if he might come and give Confirmation on Sunday 3rd July. That gives us a bit more time to prepare. Applicants must be in Year 8 at least.

BTG Production - Cabaret - 21st to 23rd October: The classic Broadway fable explores the twilight days of the roaring 1920s, as the decadent party-goers of Berlin ignorantly allow the dark spectre of Nazism to take over. Over the last few years, our musical productions have grown in scope and ambition, and so this year the performances will take place at the Michael Croft Theatre at Alleyn's School in Dulwich, a state of the art performance venue. Performances will take place on Wednesday 21st, Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd October at 7.30pm and will feature musicians and performers from Year 7-13, accompanied by a professional orchestra. Tickets will cost £10 for adults and £6 for children, students and OAPs. Refreshment will be on sale. Tickets may be purchased at our online box office www.wegottickets.com/btg. Please note that tickets bought online will incur a 10% service charge per ticket. Tickets purchased in this way will be available at the door before the performance. Please purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment. It is unlikely that many tickets will be available on the night. All students and children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that the show contains some adult themes and is not suitable for young children.
Evenings of Faith: ‘God and our Environment': All are welcome to the forthcoming series of ‘Evenings of Faith' on the theme ‘God and Our Environment'. The series takes place on selected Tuesdays at 7:30pm from 29th September.
