24th Sunday OT (Old Rite: XVI Sunday after Pentecost)

Bazaar 2015 - Friday 27th & Saturday 28th November: Please put this important date in your diaries and start thinking seriously about your ideas of how to make this year’s annual Bazaar the best ever.  Next week we will advertise the first preparation meeting.

First Communion 2016: Next week, we will distribute the application forms.  First Communion is parish based – that means that applications should come from members of this liturgical community.  At St Bede’s we usually have the English Language First Communion ceremonies on the first two Sundays of June.  The Latin Mass community have theirs, usually in May.

Confirmation 2016: Bishop Patrick Lynch has asked if he might come and give Confirmation on Sunday 3rd July.  That gives us a bit more time to prepare.  Applicants must be in Year 8 at least.

The Choir: are looking for new members.  If you are interested please give your details to one of the priests for us to pass on.  They meet on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm for rehearsals here at the Church.

Special Sunday - Next week at 11am Mass: The music will be -

  • Ordinary – Missa Quarti toni by Tomas Luis de Victoria.
  • Offertory – Ave maris stella me by Tomas Luis de Victoria.
  • Communion – Sicut Cervus by Giovanni Perluigi de Palestrina.
Performed by Cantores Missae under the direction of Charles Finch and made possible thanks to a generous support from the Latin Mass Society for which we are most grateful.

Annual African & Caribbean Association Thanksgiving Mass: will take place on Sunday 11th October at 12.30pm.  There will be a small reception in the club afterwards.

Fr Christopher: is away this weekend.  Back Tuesday evening
