Welcome back to Fr Piotr Klym: he will be here for a few weeks before he goes back to Poland to prepare for life in Greece!

Readers needed for Sunday 6pm Masses:  We need two more readers for the Sunday evening Mass (new rota starts w/e 4th/5th Jul).  If you are interested, please write your contact details down clearly and leave at the Presbytery or alternatively you can email: Basden@stbedesclapham.freeserve.co.uk

Mill Hill Red Boxes Many members of our community have a Red Box in their homes. It’s a way we support the Pope’s official charity for overseas mission and the Mill Hill Missionaries, Britain’s own missionary society. Thank you to everyone who is a Red Box member. We’re holding a special collection for those whose Red Box may not have been opened for a while.  Maybe it’s lurking on top of the fridge, or behind some books. If so, please bring it to Mass over the coming weekends and we will empty it. Make sure your name is written on the sticker – and pick up one of the empty ones to take home again!). If you have any questions, contact Ann Holder or the parish office. Visit missio.org.uk/RedBox for more information.

Congratulations: to Fr Anthony Charlton who was ordained at St Bede’s on the 19th of June 1975 by Archbishop Cyril Cowderoy.  In the same summer, Fr John Henry from this parish also was ordained at St George’s Cathedral.  Fr ‘Tony’, for many years, was Parish Priest of Tolworth where our own Fr Tom Lynch began his priestly ministry.  Last year Fr Tony was moved to Canterbury where he will celebrate his Ruby Jubilee Friday 19th.

Congratulations: to Simon & Kate Peacock, Michael & Paula Whelan who celebrate Silver anniversary of marriage and John and Jane Windsor who celebrate their Ruby at this time.

Summer Fayre: Every year our two schools (St Bede & St Bernadette) come together to organise our annual summer Fayre.  This year it will be Friday 26th June starting at 5pm.  Please do come and support our schools.  It is fun for all ages and we will put St Joseph’s statue out that day so that Our Lady will not allow him to get wet!

Youth Mission 2nd - 12th July: Thank you for the offer of beds.  We now need only one more offer.  We still need some help with the volunteer cooks.  If people could volunteer for one day or possibly two that should be adequate.  They are also appealing for some help to pay for their flights and other volunteers to help with games etc.  Please pray for the success and spiritual fruitfulness of this youth mission in our parish.

'Pray, Play & Tumble': Mondays 10-11.30am starting with prayer and praise in the church followed by refreshments/play time in the parish rooms and an optional session in the school soft room.  Suggested donation: £1.50 per child or sibling group.  Email: (removed for privacy - please see newsletter or notice board). If you can let Susan know you are coming but otherwise do just turn up at ten.

Current Vacancies: For more information on all the vacancies, please see our 'Job Opportunties' page on the sidebar.
