3rd Sunday of Easter (Old Rite: II Sunday after Easter)

Special Sunday: at 10.45 Mass today.  Music by Cantores Missae, under the direction of Mr Charles Finch.

Fr Lukasz is away in Poland for his post-Easter break.

Parish Council Meeting:  tomorrow at 7.30pm in the Presbytery.

The Suggestion Box: which has been in the Church porch without a key known to open it has been broken open and removed.  Inside we found three ancient suggestions, £82 in cash, bazaar raffle tickets, Hospice donations given after funerals and most significantly a load of Mass intentions in the brown envelopes going back years.  Please do not put such an important thing as a Mass intention envelope anywhere except the collection, the priest’s hand or the Presbytery letter box (without ringing the bell!)   Some of these Masses will probably have to be sent away.

Clergy Support Fund Campaign - Volunteers needed! The Diocese has asked that all parishes recruit 3 volunteers for a fundraising committee to help raise funds for Clergy Support Fund.  We need people who have good fundraising skills or experience and who would be able on taking on such a project.  On Saturday 9th May 10.30am, the South East Area Representative, Kenneth Atmore is organising a meeting at English Martyrs Hall in Streatham to help lead and instruct on what they would need to do get the campaign under way within our Deanery.  If you are interested in being one of our volunteers, please see Fr Christopher this weekend.
This fund helps sick and retired priests within our Diocese.  You can find out more about the fund and why they are asking for everyone's help at the following website www.southwarkclergysupportfundcampaign.org.

SPUC’S Annual Pro-Life Chain: (a peaceful roadside witness holding pro-life banners) will take place in over 50 locations in the UK. The pro-life chains are held every year at this time to commemorate the implementation of the 1967 Abortion Act, which has resulted in the death of over 8 million unborn babies. The London pro-life chain will take place on Blackfriars Bridge from 11am-1pm Saturday 25th April. Your local contact for this chain is Rhoslyn Thomas, who can be contacted on 07837687344. Please come along and bring friends and family with you to commemorate the lost lives of unborn babies.
