28th Sunday (Old Rite: XVIII Sunday after Pentecost)

October - Month of the Holy Rosary. Today, and every Sunday in October we have Devotions, Sermon & Benediction at 5pm.  The rosary is also usually recited after every 9am weekday Mass.   Fly the flag by hanging your Rosary in your car, but better still pray it everyday especially for peace in the Middle East and therefore here! Pray also for the containment of the Ebola epidemic.  Use this powerful prayer for your own intentions and those of the world!

Bazaar (Fri 28th / Sat 29th Nov):  Don’t forget to put the date in your diaries!   Each year we set ourselves the challenge to raise the £14,000 needed for our annual payment to the Diocese, and we need YOUR help & support to get there! Donations of GOOD items are needed please - fancy goods; jewellery; toys, cake making ingredients (flour, sugar, mixed fruit etc), empty jam jars; religious articles; CDs & DVDs; drinks for the bottle stall; homemade crafts, jams & chutneys.  We do not want electrical items, jumble, videos or books otherwise our UCM ladies spend a lot of time throwing articles out! The next Bazaar meeting is 11th November at 7.30pm

Bags 2 the Future: Last year ‘Bags2thefuture’ was a great success! The event helped raise £200 towards our Bazaar total.  Hopefully we will have the bags for distribution from next weekend and collection will be Wednesday 5th November.  Thank you to Chris Brew-Graves who organises this each year.
