27th Sunday (Old Rite: XVII Sunday after Pentecost)

October - Month of the Holy Rosary. Today, and every Sunday in October we have Devotions, Sermon & Benediction at 5pm.  The rosary is usually recited after every 9am weekday Mass.

Bazaar (Fri 28th / Sat 29th Nov):  Don’t forget to put the date in your diaries!   Each year we set ourselves the challenge to raise the £16000 needed for our annual payment to the Diocese, and we need YOUR help & support to get there! On Wednesday at 7.30pm we have our next planning meeting – so please come along, with your ideas, volunteer and help meet this challenge!  Donations of GOOD items please - fancy goods; jewellery; cake making ingredients (flour, sugar, mixed fruit etc), empty jam jars; religious articles; CDs & DVDs; drinks for the bottle stall; homemade crafts, jams & chutneys.  We do not want Electrical items, jumble, videos or books – thank you.

Rosary Crusade of Reparation – Saturday 11th October: This is the biggest procession of the year, leaving from Westminster Cathedral at 2.15pm and walking all the way across London to Brompton Oratory where we have hymns, a Sermon, blessing of scapulars and Benediction. Our first communicants (in their special clothes) and our servers lead the way.  We will meet at Westminster Cathedral by the statue (entrance on left-hand side – Ambrosden Avenue) by 2pm.  Children MUST be accompanied by their parents or an approved adult.

Thank You: to everyone who supported The Laurels School‘s Macmillan Coffee afternoon which raised £260; and the UCM Coffee morning last Sunday which raised £255 for Christians in Iraq.
