3rd Sunday (Old Rite: III Sunday after Epiphany)

Archbishop Vincent Nichols: After the Angelus on Sunday, 12th January, Pope Francis named 19 new cardinals who will receive 'the red hat' at a Consistory - an assembly of the Cardinals and the Pope - on 22nd February (Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter).  Among them is Archbishop Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster and President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.  Archbishop Peter has welcomed the announcement:  ‘I was delighted to hear the news this morning. 'On behalf of his brother Bishops and the Catholic community in England and Wales, I offer Archbishop Vincent our heartiest congratulations as the 11th Archbishop of Westminster to be made a Cardinal.  'We assure him of our prayers and ask for God’s blessing as he generously takes on these new responsibilities in assisting the Holy Father in the governance of the universal Church.’ Why not pick up the Catholic Herald this weekend.

APF Mill Hill Appeal - Next Weekend's 2nd Collection: Next Sunday (2nd Feb), we will welcome Fr Denis Treacy of the Mill Hill Missionaries will be here for their annual appeal.

‘Beauty & The Beast’: Bishop Thomas Grant School invite you to their forthcoming annual school musical. Performances will take place in the Main School Hall (Belltrees Grove, SW16 2HY) on Wednesday 5th, Thursday 6th and Friday 7th February at 7pm. Tickets cost £7.70 for adults and £5.50 for students and children and can be purchased from their online box office  (The ticket price includes a 10% administration charge, made by the box office for each ticket).  They will be available to collect at the door before the performance (no tickets will be sold at the door on the night).    All students/children must be accompanied by an adult.

Did you win a prize in the Bazaar Grand Draw last November?  There are a few prizes still waiting for collection.  Don’t forget to check the notice board and claim your prize!

FAITH Talks: The FAITH movement are holding talks in the Crypt of Warwick St Church (access also through 24 Golden Square, W1) on four Wednesdays from 7.30pm.  All ages are welcome.  

The fortcoming subjects and speakers for each week are: 
29th Jan – God our Environer – Fr Christopher Findlay-Wilson 
5th Feb – How does Jesus Christ save us? – Fr Tim Finigan.

‘A Day With Mary’: ‘A day of instruction, devotion & intercession based on the message given at Fatima in 1917.’ The next three planned events are 

Saturday 8th February at St Joseph’s in New Malden.  The day starts at 9.30am and ends at 5pm. 
Saturday 15th February at Our Lady of the Rosary in Blackfen.  The day starts at 10am and finishes at 5.30pm.
