3rd Sunday of Easter (Old Rite: II Sunday after Easter)

DEACON TOM LYNCH: It was lovely to have our home-grown Deacon in his Dalmatic (the apron-like sacred vestment proper to the Deacon).  He officiated here as Deacon on Palm Sunday and Low Sunday.  Yesterday he went back to the Seminary and on July 20th he will be ordained at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark.  The next day at 9.30, he will offer his first Mass and on the following Sunday (28th July) he will sing his first Traditional Sung Mass at 10.45am.  Put these dates in your diary and pray for Deacon Tom and also our novice Sister Carol Cardenas who is in the Mother house in Madrid.

SPECIAL SUNDAY – TODAY: At 10.45am Mass. Sung by Cantores Missae, under the direction of Charles Finch and financially sponsored by the Latin Mass Society.

FR CHRISTOPHER EHIDIAMHEN’S FAREWELL MASS: At 12.30 Mass next Sunday 21st April, followed by reception and lunch in school hall.  Fr CE came here in May 2010 and is to leave on Tuesday 30th April to return to Uromi Diocese in Nigeria.

FR SIMON LEWORTHY: is away this week visiting his relations in Yorkshire & also Madeira from where many here come from.

SISTER CARMEN: is away in Rome and Madrid celebrating, so they tell me, her Golden Jubilee – can that be possible??  She looks too young!  We are grateful to her for her support to Janusz Tomiak and John Dayanc in their last sickness before they died.

SISTER MARIA JEREZ: is in Spain visiting her father & family.
