33rd Sunday OT (Old Rite: VI Sunday remaining after Epiphany)

BAZAAR - FRI 30th NOV / SAT 1ST DEC: There is only one weekend left before our annual Bazaar, (which pays for our Diocesan tax most of which goes towards the schools of which most of you have hugely benefited). We have pretty well no toys at all!  There must be some good-as-new toys somewhere in your cupboards!  We still have few bottles and we are awaiting good-as-new jewellery, fancy goods, groceries, religious articles, books, DVDs (but no jumble or videos).  Please start seriously bringing these things in so as to make this years effort a real success!
CAKES: The cake list is waiting for your name!  Any type of cake is welcome and also fairy cakes.
BISTRO MENU: Please take a bistro menu and bring it back with your booking next Sunday.
BAZAAR DINNER: There are still a few places left.  Please book now with £25.
DRAW TICKETS: Have you brought back your sold tickets?   Please bring in as soon as possible! 
“HEAVIES”: we are looking for strong men and boys to set up the club on Thursday evening (29th) 7.30pm prompt.  List available to put your name down on.

BIBLE PROGRAMME: The last session of the bible programme will be on Sunday 25th November at 7pm in the social club.  Regular participants – don’t forget to fill in your evaluation forms and bring them on the day.

GOSPEL OF ST MARK: Brendan Somers, an actor who is married to the niece of Fr Hugh Thwaites is coming to St Bede’s to perform his “Gospel of St Mark” on Friday 14th December at 7.30pm.  This is for the Year of Faith.  Please see poster at the back of Church.

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR – CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: Saturday 24th November 12pm – 4pm – 2a Meadow Rd, SW8 1QH (off Claylands Rd & Fentiman Rd).  There will be Christmas gifts, tombola, cakes, Irish coffee, raffles, exclusive Christmas cards & diaries, refreshments & stalls galore!  Come & meet Santa!  Admission free!

CHRISTMAS FAYRE - ST JOSEPH'S COLLEGE, BEULAH HILL: Saturday 24th November 10am - 3pm.  An inviting array of stalls, raffles, refreshments.  The school choir will also be singing during the day.  All are most welcome

TOWARDS ADVENT: The 2012 Towards Advent Festival of Catholic Culture takes place on Saturday 24th November at Westminster Cathedral Hall, Ambrosden Avenue.  Opening 10.30am with Archbishop Vincent Nichols.  Stalls & displays by a wide variety of Catholic groups and organisations.  Music, talks, sales of books & DVDs and Catholic items including rosaries, statues & Christmas cards etc.  An opportunity to celebrate the Catholic Faith.  Admission is free, everyone welcome.  Please see poster at back of church for more information.  

NEW CATHOLIC SCHOOL FOR BOYS – THE CEDARS: a new secondary school for boys providing a Catholic eduction is opening in Croydon in September 2013.  The school is being set up by PACT, a highly successful education trust with a strong track record in this area.  Launch event – Friday 23rd November at 7.30pm at Addington Palace, Gravel Hill, Croydon, CR0 5BB.  You will have the opportunity to meet the Headmaster and hear a talk on the challenges of educating adolescent boys by James B Stenson, an internationally-renowned expert on boys' education.  For further details phone 0844 802 7072 or email  The life @TheCedars blog will tell you more about the school; it can be found at

CHURCH CLEANERS & ALTAR SERVERS: Do we have your correct address?  Are you missing your latest rota?  If so, please give us your new address this weekend (write clearly on a piece of paper & give to one of the priests or post through presbytery letterbox for parish secretary.  The Altar Servers Rota for December will be done in the next week or so and the Cleaners rota will be going out mid-December.
