BAZAAR 2012 – FRI 30th NOV & SAT 1ST DEC: We need to start preparing for our annual fundraiser. We are taxed £13,000 for our school bill by the Diocese and every year we try to top last year’s amount. We don’t know how lucky we are to have free Catholic education. The Diocese only has to pay 10% of the huge total cost and every parish has to contribute to that 10%. So many of us have benefited from Catholic schools and so now I appeal to you to help us pay the bill! We had very few at the last meeting and so we hope to see you on Tuesday 25th September at 8pm. We need volunteers and ideas!
FR ANDREW’S FAREWELL: After 15 years (since 17th March 1997) Fr Andrew has contributed so much to our parish community. He leaves for Rome on Monday 1st October. The day before (Sunday 30th September), we want to thank him at a celebration at St Bede’s School after the morning Masses. Please think about what sort of food or drink you might be able to bring on the day and fill in the form accordingly (at the back of Church). We will start around 12.15pm but the presentation will be just after 1.30pm.
