15th Sunday of OT (Old Rite: VII Sunday after Pentecost)

END OF SCHOOL:  On Friday our three schools will break up for the summer.  I hope our hardworking staff will all get a good and restful break. When the schools break up the area around Church and Convent is amazingly quiet.  Remember parents “there is no holiday from the spiritual life” in other words make sure you find out where the nearest Catholic Church is if you are away on holiday.  We all need a balance and a break from work and routine.

CONGRATULATIONS: to Gonzalo Norona Palacios, originally from Ecuador and Izabella Kowzan, originally from Poland who were married here last Saturday by Fr Christopher Basden.

CONGRATULATIONS TO FRS OLADELE CRAIG, KURT BARRAGAN & ALAN BURGESS: Yesterday at St George’s Cathedral in Southwark, three deacons were ordained into the sacred priesthood by Archbishop Peter Smith.  Fr Ola was here last month, helping us celebrate the Handmaids of Mary centenary Mass and will soon take up his new post at Holy Ghost in Balham.

FR MARTIN THOMPSON: whom we continue to welcome, is here this weekend (from Albania).  Please pray for his Father in Brighton who is elderly and, at the time of writing this newsletter, quite ill.
