13th Sunday of OT (Old Rite: Most Precious Blood of OLJC)

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION - 3pm TODAY:  After all the great Feasts of the year ranging from Christmas to Easter to Pentecost ending in the celebration of the sublime Trinity, we come to Corpus Christi (7th June in the Old Rite and 10th June in the New Rite).  In this feast we see the outpouring of the love of God for us in the Eucharist.  The Manna of old kept the first people of God on their way through unexpected and bewildering terrains.  Today we honour the Lord by the greatest procession of the year.  Our First communicants and Confirmation candidates lead the way with the Scouts, trumpets and drums. Come and honour the Lord passing through your parish!

WELCOME TO FR JOSE TICLLA ROJAS: who is from Peru and was here at Christmas.  He will be staying with us until 7th October.  He is one of 8 children and his sister is a Dominican Nun.  He is studying at the University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

APPEAL ON BEHALF OF LAMBETH POLICE.  There is a bank card scam circulating the borough at present where the perpetrators are targeting the vulnerable and elderly trying to obtain pin numbers.  PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR PIN NUMBER TO ANYONE – your bank will never ask for it!  If you get a call from someone asking for your PIN, hang up.  If someone knocks at your door asking for your PIN or credit/debit card shut your door and call the police.
