1st Sunday of Lent

WELCOME TO FR JOHN FLEMING -
who is our first Lenten preacher and confessor. Fr Fleming is Adjunct Professor of Bioethics at the South Cross Institute in South Australia and an occasional Lecturer at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and the Family in Melbourne. He specialises in the development of public policy in bioethics. His PhD from Griffin University in Queensland was in philosophy and medical ethics. He was formerly an Anglican clergyman who became a Catholic in 1987 and was ordained a priest in 1995. He was a commercial radio media personality for 34 years in Adelaide, South Australia and a newspaper columnist for 13 years. We are very happy to welcome this most articulate defender of Human life to St Bede'sl Make the most of this opportunity and go to Confession for Lent! (Next week, our second Lenten preacher will be Fr Francis Lynch)

FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTIONS: Friday 2nd March 7.30 -
8.30pm consisting of a Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament. Recitation of the Rosary, allocution and Benediction. To pray especially for vocations to the priesthood & religious life.

VACANCY- SAFEGUARDING OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Experienced administrator needed to join our Safeguarding team on a fixed term contract for up to 6 months. The role is primarily concerned with taking up CRB disclosures and maintaining appropriate filing & databases. Some secretarial support to the rest of the team will also be required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience if administering CRB disclosures and/ or experience of working in a safeguarding environment. Hours will be 30-35 p/wk Mon - Fri.
