5th Sunday In Ordinary Time. (Old Rite: Septuagesima Sunday)

Tomorrow and Tuesday, St Bernadette's, our Junior School, will welcome the Inspectors from Ofsted. We are so proud of our three schools in this parish. Our teachers and staff work very hard to do the best for our children. Half of those children have English as their second language and some of them have to start English from scratch! At St Bernadette's we have always had an impressive spiritual ethos and many inspectors have noticed that as soon as they step into the door. An inspection is like a free audit; if we can do something better we are happy and keen to learn howl Nevertheless for our staff it is always an extra pressure, so pray for them to do well! We are happy to welcome Mrs Deborah Hogan, our Head to the 9.30 Mass so as to address the first communion parents. She usually attends Mass at St Anselm's, Tooting Bee, her own parish.
