2nd Sunday In Ordinary Time

FIRST COMMUNION
Today our First Communion children are gathering at 9.30 Mass to begin their formal preparation for the two great Sacraments- Confession (reconciliation / penance) and the Eucharist/Communion. It is up to the parents to do the preparation at home with the text. The short amount of time at Church and school is simply not enough!

CHURCH UNITY OCTAVE:
This week marks the beginning of prayer for Church Unity. It begins on Wednesday 18th January and ends next Wednesday, 25th January which is the feast of the Conversion of St Paul.

CONFIRMATION 2012: Applications are welcome from anyone who has not been confirmed and you must be in Year 8 at least. Pick up a purple form today as applications will close very soon. The Bishop will come on May 6th.

BIBLE PROGRAMME: continues on Sunday 29th January inthe social club at 7 pm. Please read the Book of Ezra and Nehemiah before the session. New participants are always welcomed.

OPUS XVI CONCERT - SATURDAY 21st JANUARY 7. 30PM - first performance of "Epiphany'' by Gordon Carr at All Saints Church, Lovelace Road, West Dulwich, SE21 BJY. Tickets £12: £10 concessions (includes a glass of wine in the interval). To book - 020 7733 0518 or at the door on the night.

CATHOLIC PARLIAMENTARY & PUBUC POLICY INTERNSHIPS:
For the last nine years the Catholics Bishops Conference has organised Parliamentary and Public Policy
Internships for recently graduated Catholics. This year we are looking to offer 8 internships: Five interns will be placed with Christian MPs at Westminster; two in Public Policy with CAFOD and CARITAS Social Action Network; and one in a media internship at Archbishop's House Westminster. All internships will ron from September 2012 - July 2013 and include accommodation and subsistence allowances.
